The TriCounty Addiction Services is a community-based counselling and health promotion agency. TriCAS is directed by a
Board of Directors who are
volunteers from around Lanark, Leeds and Grenville counties, the geographic area served by the agency.
We are located in the southeastern Ontario planning district which is served by the
Southeastern Ontario Local Health Integration Network and also in the eastern planning district served by the
Champlain Local Health Integration Network.
TriCAS holds membership in the
Ontario Hospital Association, the
Ontario Federation of Community Mental Health and Addiction Programs, the Alliance of Southeastern Ontario Addiction Services and the Lanark, Leeds and Grenville Mental Health and Addiction Coalition.
Funding for TriCAS’ core programming addressing substance abuse, problem gambling and community mental health (concurrent disorders) is obtained through Transfer Payment Agreements into which it enters with the
Southeastern Ontario Local Health Integration Network, an arm of the
Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care.
Donations are also made by members of the public. In addition to these supports for its operation, TriCAS also has an agreement with the
Centre for Addiction and Mental Health through which it receives monies to provide CAMH’s Back on Track programming – assessment, education, treatment, and followup services for persons convicted of driving while impaired.
